Covid-19 Policy Update–February 28, 2022

Covid-19 case numbers have steadily improved in Walworth county. As a result, Elkhorn Flying Dragons is issuing a covid policy update.

February 28th Covid numbers

Starting Monday, February 28th, we will no longer require masks inside.

Please bring a mask to class. We will continue to wear masks when working closely with others.

What does this Covid Policy Update mean for you?

You no longer need a mask when entering the school.

Kicks, forms, and work on your own will

You should still bring a mask with you.

Please wear a mask if you show symptoms of illness such as coughing, sniffling, or runny nose.

We will wear masks when working with partners, including the following.

  1. One steps
  2. Self Defense
  3. Partner kicking drills
  4. Ground Randori
  5. Pins
  6. Judo Class
  7. Aikido Class

We will sanitize our hands before and after working with partners. You are welcome to wash your hands in the sink if you’d prefer.

You should stay home if you feel sick. You can always use zoom or attend and extra class the following week.

We will continue to host zoom classes and will send out links.

Finally, our rules do not reflect decisions made for tournament. NAKA will respect the rules placed by Brookwood Middle School.

The Bottom Line

We hope to see virus numbers continue to drop. While we all hope this pandemic is behind us, Elkhorn Flying Dragons may need to change our Covid policy depending on new data. Our goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy.

You all play a big roll in our success through the pandemic. Thank you for your diligence and mindfulness. In many ways, you are the embodiment of our martial arts tenants, and we could not be more proud of the student body.

Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding our Covid Policy Update.

Thank you,
Amanda and the Perks
