On Saturday, May 18th, Elkhorn Flying Dragons will host our next color belt promotional exam. Test papers are on the mat and ready for students to pick up. If you are on the fence or unsure if you are ready to test, please speak with Master Nick, Miss Amanda, or any of our instructors for more information. As a reminder, the computer tells us if you qualify to test, but only you can determine if you are ready.
This is going to be a big testing group and we want things to run smoothly.
May Testing Schedule
- 9:00 – 11:30 am » Green Stripes through Red Belts
- 11:45 – 1 pm » White Belts through Yellow Belts
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your test start in your full dress white uniform. Blue stripes on up should have patches on their uniforms and bring sparring gear. Brown Stripes and higher should bring their weapons and be prepared to show the testing board the weapons form.
Color Belt Test Papers
Please return your test papers no later than Thursday, May 16th, 2024.
In front of the dojo, Miss Amanda prepared test papers for everyone who had the classes and time in rank to test. The system sometimes misses things. If you think you might be ready and do not see a paper, talk to Master Nick or Miss Amanda. Sometimes computers get things wrong, and we’d be more than happy to manually count classes and talk about it.

Additionally, we listened to your feedback regarding the new schedule. Some of you had trouble getting in for beginner’s and intermediate classes with the earlier times, so those classes were moved on Monday and Tuesday to better accommodate your schedules.
Summer Weapons
Starting Monday June 3rd, we will begin our next weapons class. While we have most of the base weapons in stock, we would be more than happy to order something different, flashier, or more exotic if you are interested in it.

Now until Memorial Day, we are running a sale on used gear. In the Spirit of Garage sale season, used gear is on sale!
Save $5 off gear purchases of $25 or more, $10 of purchases of $45 and up and $15 of purchases $65 and up! This is a great chance to replace any gear that you may have grown out of over the winter months. (and yes, used weapons count too!)
