Unfortunately, COVID-19 cases are on the rise. Walworth County is back in the very high-risk category, and we have to ask the question: how do we keep all our students safe as we work out? While we encourage anyone who can get the vaccine to do so, the reality is that many of our littlest kickers are not eligible at this time, and others cannot. This means, we must look for alternatives.
Starting Saturday, August 7th, please bring your masks to class. You are encourages, but not required to wear masks during warmups, solo kicking exercises, and forms. We will wear masks during one steps, sparring, self defense, and any partner drills.
Please think of your mask as another piece of protective gear. During sparring, we wear our helmets to protect ourselves, but we wear gloves to protect our partners. Our masks are similarly worn to protect our friends as we work out.
We will continue to keep the dots 6 feet apart, require staff members to wear masks, run the HVAC system for good air circulation, and limit partner contact to 15 minute intervals.
We want to thank you all for your perseverance this year. These are extraordinary circumstances, and you all continue to rise to the challenge. We sincerely hope that you all continue to kick high and bring COVID low.
