Hello and happy Tuesdays!
This is Amanda with Elkhorn Flying Dragons, your friendly martial arts dojo, letting you know that bad weather is on the horizon. As of now, we are planning to CLOSE Wednesday, February 12th. This year, Master Nick and I made the decision to follow the Elkhorn School District’s decisions regarding closing, and the school district has already closed. The forecast promises 5-8 inches of snowfall with poor visibility and wind. While final decisions will be made tomorrow by 1 pm, we made the decision to follow the school systems. Keep an eye on your email, Facebook, and WTMJ. We will post all weather updates there.
While Nick and I primarily drive on the freeway, not everyone is so fortunate, and we’d hate to have people stuck on some of those country roads.
That being said, Wisconsin weather is very unpredictable. Should this turn out to be a bust, we may revisit this policy going into the next school year. Master Nick will tell you that I get grumpy when we close the school and the weather misses us.
